Sample Our Music
We are a Rock & Roll band first, and are know as a party band that Rocks the house down with the classics from everywhere! However, we are known for more than just Rock & Roll, and we must admit that from time to time we have been known to morph into a band that plays a variety of other music genres, including (believe it or not) Jazz, Swing and Latin...if the client requests it.
If you happen to be looking for Jazz or Swing in addition to Rock & Roll, you might want to check out our sister band, The Jazz Connection The players in both bands are the same, and Nexus can intertwine both genres in the mix as we perform for you.
So..., why do we play all of this music and still call ourselves a Rock band? Why are we able to change faces so easily? It's simple. We are a Rock band first, but we have experience with and love a variety of music. And, because we can do it so well, why not offer the option if it helps a client make their event even more special and successful. The client can basically gain the benefits of two bands for the price of one and satisfy the musical tastes of a wide variety of their guests. Besides, our groupies love the variety. They find the contrasts very entertaining, and we get a kick out of it, too. It makes for quite a show!

As mentioned, Nexus has been know to add Swing (and even Latin) to their repertoire when asked. The following are a few samples of this. If you have an interest in this type of diversity, for more ideas you may want to visit our sister band, The Jazz Connection.
Our repertoire list is lengthy and diverse, as we are not your typical top 40 or Society band. Our music spans from classic Rock & Roll favorites, to your slower love songs, to the top 40 and Disco played by most of the society bands, to complex tunes that are far too risky for most bands to attempt. (For example, most bands cannot handle Spinning Wheel or Come Sail Away. This band has veteran players, some of whom come from the military bands who average more than 30 years experience with Rock & Roll.) Depending on what the client wants, we can either rock it down with standards, or get a bit more out of pocket (for those of you looking to get away from the typical top 40).
